ABOUT NO*BLOM - BSH/BLH CATTERY IN NORWAY
About us
Welcome to NO*Blom, our small and dedicated cattery of British Shorthair and Longhair in Norway.
We are a FIFe/NRR registered breeding and our kittens get a safe and loving start in our home.
OUR STORY
From passion to NO*Blom
The story of NO*Blom began with McCatney, our very first British Shorthair. From the first meeting we fell for the breed's charming expression, characteristic round features and wonderful personality. What started with the love of one cat quickly developed into a passion for the breed and a desire to share this joy with others.
McCatney also sparked our love for the beautiful cream color, which has since become one of our specialties. Shortly after, Eevee joined the family, and with her blue tortoiseshell color she helped shape the breeder's color profile, with a particular focus on cream, blue, and blue tortoiseshell.
With our third cat, Ginny, we want to further develop our breeding work and eventually introduce chocolate and cinnamon in future generations. We also have ambitions to strengthen genetic diversity through carefully selected international breeding lines with no degree of relationship to our existing lines.
We regularly attend cat shows which provide us with valuable feedback. Our breeding work is based on preserving and continuing the distinctive characteristics that make the British Shorthair such a wonderful breed.
Above all, our cats are much-loved family members and a natural part of our everyday lives. It is precisely the combination of love for cats and commitment to the breed that underlies everything we do at NO*Blom.
ABOUT US
The people behind NO*Blom
Behind NO*Blom are us, Nora Nicolaisen and Ruben Kristiansen. Two animal lovers who share both their home, everyday life and a great love for our cats.
I, Nora, have grown up surrounded by animals and don't really know a life without them. Even as a child, there were both dogs and cats in the home, but it was the cats in particular that I became very attached to and that held a very special place in my heart.
Ruben shares my love for animals and is a dedicated supporter of the breeding. We work closely together on everything from socialization, care and participation in shows.
For us, cats are much more than a hobby. They are little personalities that fill the home with joy, comfort, and a good dose of entertainment.
VÅR VISION

We are proud to be an NRR/FIFe registered cattery, where quality and responsible breeding are our main priorities. Our breeding cats are carefully selected and regularly health checked, to ensure that our kittens have the best conditions for a long and happy life.
